Monday (closed)
Tuesdays-Fridays from 2pm to 6pm
Saturdays-Sundays from 10:30am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm

Bienvenidos al primer museo del plegado del papel en Sud América y uno de los pocos en el mundo.
El Museo del Arte del Origami en Colonia, Uruguay, abrirá sus puertas en 2019. La fecha de inauguración se anunciará próximamente.
Fueron nueve años de mucho trabajo.
Sin la colaboración de mucha gente que donó dinero, tiempo y obras, este proyecto no se hubiese realizado.

Misión / Objetivos
The museum aims at introducing visitors to the rich history of paperfolding with emphasis in recent developments that are pushing the boundaries in the arts and sciences.
Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition, take classes and check the library.
El objetivo del museo es difundir las aplicaciones del origami en el arte y en la ciencia, así como su rica historia.
El público podrá visitar la muestra, tomar cursos y consultar material de biblioteca.
Artists Residences / Residencia de artistas
The mission and vision will be reinforced with the participation of artists who will stay at the institution for a period of time to develop a creative artwork, a book or a historical research (they’ll be able to use the Legman archive and library, property of the Museum).
Nuestra misión y visión se verán reforzadas con la participación de artistas que podrán residir en la institución por un tiempo para desarrollar una creación artística, un libro o una investigación histórica (basándose en la biblioteca y archivo Gershon Legman, propiedad de la institución).
